What music are you listening to these days?


i try to listen music of every genre...
when I'm in my car – i tend to listen to 91.1 jazz fm or Toronto university radio stations (89.5. Fm - 88.1 fm – 105.5 fm)
. Currently i been listening to a cassette (yes my car has a cassette deck) of beats that we (my bwoy rob leveque aka chozen, my bwoy glass aka dj glass and myself) made in the mid to late 90’s. 
Right now it's "enter the 36 chambers" by the wu-tang clan

Last week i was apart of the luminato festival here in Toronto – I was really digging this piece by miss egr (www.egrart.com
)…the last art show that i attended featured photography by my homegyrl 
anna keenan (www.myspace.com/annakeenan
) and the art show i wish i didn’t miss was featuring my bwoy 
elicser – (www.myspace.com/elicser)...

Why should people, especially youth, vote?

To share your opinion and voice with the world… the reason why most young people don’t vote is because they are misinformed or have absolutely no interest in what is going on in office… meanwhile the decisions made effect us all… the disconnect between government officials and young people needs to be mended – or the powers that be need to go out of their way to address this lack of concern and find creative means to inform young people .

For you, is there a connection between art and democracy? What is it?


I'm not sure… as an artist I find a lot of my strongest work comes from being inspired by others or out of pain and sorrow… and come to think of it a lot of art has been created in the most trying of circumstances… most cases where the artist was cast away based on their radical views or interpretations… having the opportunity to choose is definitely a powerful thing – but if i’ve noticed one thing – that opportunity can hurt and help any situations…

 i guess the connection would therefore be that its given us all the opportunity to express ourselves – and at the end of the day freedom of expression is what all artists thrive for…


Why do you care about community, when it is so easy not to?


I care because I'm all for building and securing a foundation… automatically what comes to mind is the quote ‘we don’t know where we’re going if we don’t know where we’ve been’… securing a firm foundation for us all to grow 
gives all those within the community the true sense of community where there are others looking over you helping you reach your goal… it's never easy when community member think of themselves first and neglect the needs of the community as a whole… i’ve noticed more and more in our present day society… doesn’t make thing seasier for any of us…



What do you look for in a politician? What do you expect from your MP?


The same thing I look for in all people – to treat others the same way they would like to be treated.
