Where

The Youth Parliament of Canada's mission is to democratically represent Canada's youth to Parliament so that there is one strong youth voice advocating for positive change and to provide the experience youth need to become responsible parliamentarians.

The YPC is made up of 308 MYPs (Members of Youth Parliament), 105 Youth-Senators and a Youth-Governor General who represent Canada's 4 Million youth at a federal level to the Canadian Parliament and to the United Nations.

The YPC meets biannually in Ottawa, ON and monthly online. The MYPs discuss items that are currently in the Canadian Parliament, table issues of importance to them or their constituents, and discuss ways in which Canada can advance.

Youth-Elections Canada

Youth-Elections Canada is currently accepting Candidacy Forms for MYPs until August 2008. 308 youth will be elected in November 2008 to fill the Youth House of Commons.

Youth ages 14 to 24 can register to vote for the Youth-MP Candidate in their area.

Voting will take place on www.votingondemand.com. This online voting system requires a password which upon becoming a registered voter of the Youth Parliament of Canada you will receive by email.
