Buy Nothing Day is a protest against consumerism promoted by Adbusters magazine. Buy Nothing Day orignated in 1992 in Vancouver but is now observed by social activists around the world every Novemeber. It encourages participants to “buy nothing” for one day as a commitment to consuming fewer products.
