Marketing without Money: Get the most bang for your marketing buck.

Think you need a huge budget and a team of professionals to successfully market yourself? Come learn how to create and implement a marketing strategy using the tools you already have.

This interactive hands on workshop will be facilitated by Ilona Dougherty, Executive Director of Apathy is Boring and special guests who will answer all of your marketing, media relations, and outreach questions.

Presenters:
In January 2004 Ilona co-founded Apathy is Boring, (www.apathyisboring.com) a national non-partisan organization that uses art and technology to re-engage youth in the democratic process. As Apathy is Boring’s current Executive Director, she has been featured on Canada AM, CTV National News, CBC The National, The Current, Mike Duffy Live, MuchMusic, Etalk Daily, and many more.

Melding her backgrounds in the music industry, contemporary dance, and social engagement, Ilona has worked on events such as the Grey Cup and the Juno Awards and with artists and well-known Canadians including the Governor General of Canada, Raine Maida, Jian Ghomeshi, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Nelly Furtado, K'naan, Jully Black, and Zaki Ibrahim.

Ilona continues to speak around the country about innovative ways to reach 18 – 35 year old Canadians.
