"The Chief Electoral Officer of Nova Scotia, Christine McCulloch, has confirmed that local Elections Nova Scotia offices in all 52 provincial electoral districts are open. Election Day for the 38th Provincial General Election, set by the Governor in Council, will be Tuesday, June 9, 2009.

All Nova Scotia residents who are Canadian citizens who are at least 18 years old on Election Day and have lived in Nova Scotia for at least 6 months when the writ is issued are eligible to vote. Some 705,000 Nova Scotians are registered on the preliminary Lists of Electors."
