THE PROJECT

Spoken word is the art of bringing poetry to life! This course will exercise mind, body and vocal chords, helping participants strengthen their skills as writers and performers. Through creative writing exercises, peer editing and mentoring, each poet's craft will be developed. Through training in voice, theatrical staging and expression, individuals will learn the tools necessary to bring their work to life.

Alessandra Naccarato is a spoken-word poet, independent publisher and activist who resides in Montreal, Quebec. She has performed across Canada and internationally in festivals such as Voix d'Amériques, the Calgary International Spoken Word Festival and Pop Explosion Halifax.
