Connecting Creators is a day-long forum that will enable face to face interaction and exchange between university and college students looking to create change.
There are many students who wish to get a project off the ground, but have become discouraged, are looking for assistance, need another opinion or want to expand their vision. Everyone has unique skills and resources, but few have all the pieces required to begin a successful initiative. By creating this network of motivated students, the hope is to connect students to the resources required to get their projects moving, inspire the creation of new projects, and help others find a cause they’re passionate about.
Apathy is Boring's founder and Executive Director, Ilona Dougherty, will be the event's guest speaker. This inspiring presentation will take you back to the party where it all started. A humorous look at the life experiences that led Ilona Dougherty to found Apathy is Boring. The challenges of founding & running an NGO, and an exploration of why Apathy is Boring’s mission resonates with so many people. This presentation ends with a clear call to action offering the audience concrete ways to become more active citizens and will be sure to inspire even the most apathetic young person.
This will be a great learning, and networking opportunity. Check out the website for registration details. See you there!
