Voice of Women – VOW - is looking for students for the next march to the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

The dates for the UN Commission on the Status of Women of this year are 25 Feb. to 7th of March 2007.  Some stay the whole period but this is not a requirement. The ' 08 themes highlighted for debate and action are: empowerment of women and financing for gender equality.  VOW can register interested women up to December 28. Please see www.un.org/womenwatch/daw for more info.

VOW is pleased to take under their wing interested Canadian women - wanting to learn more about the UN system and, especially those with a focus on women, peace and disarmament.  VOW has no support funding, unfortunately, but try to suggest economic places to stay in NYC.
