Study in Action: Linking Undergraduate Students and Activism, April 18th - 20th, 2008

Are you an undergraduate student? Would you like the opportunity to share your much toiled over work? Would you like to make links between your work and social change?

If so, you're in luck! Study in Action, the second annual Montreal-based conference which aims to build ties between undergraduate students and community organizations, is looking for submissions!

At Study in Action, student presenters will have the opportunity to showcase work that reflects how undergraduate research can contribute to social change. This year, the conference's overarching theme is Social and Environmental Justice, with suggested sub-topics including: colonialism, capitalism, and migration; sexuality;

health and industrialization; gender; cultural imperialism; food justice; race,class, and the environment; labour and work; art activism; bodies andculture; and cities and social justice.

How do I submit work?
Email a 250 word summary (or a full draft, if available) of either 1) a 9-15 page paper OR 2) a 20 minute presentation to StudyinAction@gmail.com by Monday, MARCH 24th!!
Include a sentence or two detailing how your submission relates to the conference theme.
