Students Against Apathy:

In previous years, we have worked to rebuild communities in third world countries such as Sierra Leone with the help of Free the Children.

However, this year we have changed our focus to the Third World in Canada's Backyard. The Native People have been subject to the genocide of a religion, culture, language, and way of life. Along with their land rights, human rights seem to be disregarded when it comes to helping the Native People.

Students Against Apathy has a mission. We are working in conjunction with the North South Partnership who have pledge to match our donation if we manage to raise $10 000.00. This money will go towards rebuilding schools, housing, getting more food, etc.

Native land rights are constantly being infringed upon along with the wonton disregard of human rights , both unjust and illegal.

This Chapters event is one of the first steps we are taking to reach this goal, so please help us out!

Any items you buy at Chapters from 3:00 - 8:00 will give us 10% of your purchase to donate to the North South Partnership BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE SIGNED IN AT THE DESK! Please do not forget to sign in at the desk with the Students Against Apathy Fundraiser when you arrive.
