The 40th federal general election has been called for Tuesday, October 14, 2008!
In an effort to help young people and students to vote, our Web site’s section for Young Voters provides a list of Frequently Asked Questions that will help you to find out how to get on the voters list, where to vote and how to vote.
To be eligible to vote, you must be a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years of age on election day.
Some provisions of the Canada Elections Act have changed. When you vote, you MUST prove your identity and address.
You can also visit our Web site to apply for a job during the election.
To find your electoral district or for more information, please visit www.elections.ca, contact your local Elections Canada office or call our toll-free number at 1-800-463-6868 (1-800-info-vote).
