The 2008 National Metropolis Conference will be held April 3-6, 2008, at the World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax.  The theme of the conference is “Expanding the Debate: Multiple Perspectives on Immigration to Canada”.  
 
Those interested are invited to submit proposals before November 1st,  2007.
 
Workshop organizers are invited to submit proposals addressing proposals addressing a wide range of issues relating to immigration, settlement and diversity, including the six research priority areas of the Metropolis Project: 1) citizenship and social, cultural and civic integration; 2) economic and labour market integration; 3) family, children and youth; 4) housing and neighbourhoods; 5) policing, security and justice; and 6) welcoming communities.
