Kev Corbett

is an Apathy is Boring artist.

Kev Corbett is one of the best of Eastern Canada’s bumper crop of fine young songwriters. His new album, ‘Son of a Rudderless Boat’ (which has so far reached #3 on the NCRA folk/roots chart) features 10 acoustic-flavored tracks that both engage and entertain, with zinger lyrics and a sound that starts at 'acoustic' and goes from there.

His recent coming-out party at the Lunenburg Folk Festival in Nova Scotia earned him a long standing ovation, and a buzz status among the crowd and industry vets alike for the weekend. He has placed twice in the Telluride Bluegrass Festival song contest, and played legendary folk rooms The Yellow Door (Montreal), The Free Times Cafe (Toronto), and Club Passim (Cambridge MA).

His music gets played both regionally and nationally on Canadian public radio, and he tours more and more every year.

Message from Kev Corbett:

I'm a songwriter, and primarily concerned with how we all coexist with each other: how we act (or don't) to save this planet for the next seven generations, how we can make First Nations included and respected, how we can intelligently discuss politics amid the inanity of both mass culture trends and Parliament; how we find true, deep happiness for ourselves and communities, and co-operation with the larger world.
