QC Election: Special for students away from home

Out of the province?

You can still your right to vote in the Quebec provincial election this December! Even better, you can do it in your underwear or from your kitchen. Forget waiting in line or planning a trip home - you can do it through the mail! Just follow these 3 easy steps.

1. Be Eligible!

As long as you are at least 18 and a Quebec citizen currently residing elsewhere for less than two years (and lived in Quebec 12 consecutive months prior to this) you can vote in this election!

2.Be hasty!

Fill out the following form (http://www.electionsquebec.qc.ca/en/pdf/Formulaire_vhq_en.pdf) and send it back by mail, fax or email by November 19th at midnight. Be sure to include copies of appropriate ID (one with your address, one with government a government recognized photo (example, Visa bill and drivers license).

3.Vote!

You will be sent everything you need to vote, namely a ballot and list of candidates running in your electoral division. Mark your choice and then your final responsbility is to mail it to (or have someone bring it to) the Chief Electoral 's Quebec City office no later than December 8th, 2008 8pm.
