The original version of the Green Party of Quebec was originally founded in 1980. The most current version was developed in 2001, after it’s top management had switched the Parti Quebecois in 1994 (losing it’s recognition as a party in 1998) and after rejecting several requests to join Union des Forces Progressistes.
