Apathy is Boring encourages youth to vote.

Montreal, September 30, 2008 – Apathy is Boring, in collaboration with the Jeunes Engagés Montréal coalition wants youth to vote, and they are encouraging civic engagement through a concert in Montreal on October 1st at Club Soda.

The Montreal leg of the Apathy is Boring‘s 2008 Concert Series will feature artists Michie Mee, Stephanie Hardy, Eternia and members of Kalmunity Vibe Collective and Nomadic Massive and be hosted by Marième Ndiaye, MusiquePlus Host.

By using music to inspire, educate, and motivate youth, this concert series aims to encourage youth to vote and be an active part of democracy and promote the idea that apathy … is boring.

About Apathy is Boring

Since 2004, Apathy is Boring is a national, non partisan non-profit organization whose mission is to educate and motivate youth to become active citizens by using live music, art and technology. The 2008 Concert Series, dubbed a social experiment in direct democracy, will bring together artists, community leaders, not-for-profit organizations, and youth for an evening of music and dialogue that will showcase the many ways youth can meaningfully engage in democracy.
