A survey conducted after last night's televised leader's debate proved that life is really just high school without the locker rooms. Or The Hills without the loosely written script...
The survey suggested that while Harper was considered to have 'Won' the debate, viewer's opinion of him and the Conservative's ideas had slipped. Elizabeth May who was initially excluded from the debate made an effective impression and NDP's Jack Layton was voted the person viewer's would most like to go for a beer with by about 1/3 of the viewers.
Is winning a debate really better than winning a popularity contest? Are we more inclined to vote for someone with strong formal ideas or for someone we genuinely like?
