The Apathy is Boring team is proud to announce that Ilona Dougherty, co-founder and Executive Director at Apathy is Boring, has been elected as an Ashoka Fellow. She's one of 27  Canadians to have received this prestigious fellowship. The fellowship was granted due to her work with Apathy is Boring, involving youth in the democratic process.

Every year, Ashoka, a global organization identifies and supports the world's leading social entrepreneurs by providing financial support, traning and an array of professional services.

All Ashoka Fellows go through a rigorous selection process where they are evaluated according to five criteria: innovation, creativity, entrepreneurial quality, systemic social impact and ethical fibre.
