Wanted: Street Teams

Looking for a rockin' summer? Apathy is Boring is going to be at tons of wicked concerts and festivals this summer and we want you to be there too. 

Wondering about some of the bands that you could end up seeing?  Girl Talk, Elite Force, Andy Cotter, The Thermals, King Khan & BBQ, Kathleen Edwards, Lake of Stew and many more. Join our Street Team and help us spread the word that being involved is sexy.
 
A is B is a non-partisan non-profit charitable organization that tries to show youth that democracy is awesome through art and technology.
 
We want dynamic, dedicated, and (obviously) organized volunteers from across Canada to be part of this summer's Street Team campaign. We will be selecting volunteers based on experience and an interview.
 
So far this summer we will be at Sled Island in Calgary, The Montreal Folk Festival on the Canal and Evolve in Antigonish, Nova Scotia just to name a few.  We will also be sending Street Teams to Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver and many more.
 
Note: A is B does not cover travel costs, volunteers should be from Nova Scotia and able to get to the festival themselves. 
 
If you think you fit the bill, then here are the details:
 
One Lead Volunteer ($50-100 Honorarium):

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the local volunteer team with an Apathy is Boring staff member leading up the event
  • Participate in at least one phone meeting leading up to the event with an Apathy is Boring staff member
  • Coordinate meeting time and location with other volunteer
     
  • Bring all contents of the Apathy is Boring kit to the event site
  • Fill out short surveys with audience members throughout the duration of the event
     
  • Pass out flyers about Apathy is Boring
  • Interact with event attendees and show them how boring apathy really is
     
  • Collect all Apathy is Boring material and mail it back to the Apathy is Boring office

1 - 4 additional volunteers:

  • Pass out flyers about Apathy is Boring
  • Interact with event attendees and show them how boring apathy really is
