The Communist Party of Canada seeks to create a socialist society. Founded in 1921, they strive to promote the broadest possible unity of the working class and its allies against all forms of oppression, and to support their struggle for jobs, social justice, and democracy.

The Policies and Priorities section was last updated in March, before the 2011 federal election was called. As you may know, candidates and parties make lots and lots (and lots) of promises during elections. So many, in fact, that we can't keep up with them. This Party Profile is a general summary.
