The PPP is a relatively new party, as it was officially registered in 2006. It was started by leader Roger Poisson and a small group of women and First Nations peoples to advocate respect for women and aboriginal rights. It is a populist and socially conservative party. They ran 2 candidates in the 2008 election and earned 0.36% of the votes in the ridings they contested.

Restore value of women by banning pornography, immoral dress, and prostitution; Close businesses on Sunday (bring back family day); Restore the dignity of First Nations, working with the churches.
Roger Poisson is a founder and the leader of the party. He considers himself to be the “father of Canada,” or at least potentially, as he believes that the nation must be run like a family.

- Roger Poisson is a Manitoba Metis that holds a grade 9 education level and is commited to restoring the importance of family in our society.
- Poisson has lived over the past 17 years on no wages, living off of reciprocal arrangements where people donate food or lodging to him in exchange for personal counsel.

NGOs
NGO - three letters you might have seen tossed around that seem to be doing something, but what? NGO stands for Non-Governmental Organisation, which means a non-profit group or association that acts outside of institutionalised political structures.
