Pirate Party
Leader: Mikkel Paulson
http://www.pirateparty.ca/The Pirate Party seeks to reform Canadian information laws to meet the needs of the 21st century. Founded in 2009, the party is focused on reforming copyright, patent, and net neutrality laws, while also increasing the openness of government.
The Policies and Priorities section was last updated in March, before the 2011 federal election was called. As you may know, candidates and parties make lots and lots (and lots) of promises during elections. So many, in fact, that we can't keep up with them. This Party Profile is a general summary.
