What music are you listening to these days?

The new Tom Waits Orphans box set and George Martin’s work he has done for Cirque De Soleil…it is the greatest Beatles album of all time.

Why should people, especially youth, vote?

Change can’t happen without your voice and/or action.  As for the youth, if they don’t get involved early on they will be forced to live with decisions made by people 3,4,5 decades removed from their social realities.

For you, is there a connection between music and democracy? What is it?

Both democracy and music are forums where there is potential for individuals and groups from a broad, diverse and sometimes marginalized population to find a voice. And of course, they both go well with parties....

Why do you care about community, when it is so easy not to?

Because the sense of community is dying and it needs help.  The rewards for investing time in your community are enumerable.    

What do you look for in a politician? What do you expect from your MP?

A person who is more interested in making things better than in having the power to do so.  Someone with the courage to not put their fingers in their ears when they get into office.
