Hey, I'm Meg, I'm 23 and I'm originally from Kamloops, BC, but now live and work in Ottawa with the Historica Encounters with Canada program. I run their new website, FYI Canada, a social networking site for teens to debate and discuss Canadian issues (check out the link on the side, it's a great site... not that I'm biased or anything).

Last year, I graduated from the University of Ottawa in Communication (focus media) and love anything new media related. I have also spent the last four years working on Parliament Hill... you might call me a bit of a political junkie. I recently melded my interests by entering in the CBC's Next Great PM contest- you can check out my application in the links section as well.

One of my current projects is an interactive online video petition that calls for the government to improve its efforts to listen and represent Canadian youth. This petition has been presented to various MPs and will actually be tabled in the House of Commons in February- if you'd like to check that out, perhaps even contribute to the petition, you can also find that in the links section.
