Young people from all around the world invite you to sign the Great Declaration on it's brand new web site: www.nowisign.org !

Institut du Nouveau Monde (The New World Institute, INM) and its 2008 Summer School have started a massive ratification campaign of the Great Declaration, an innovative and promising text which will be proclaimed on August 12 in Québec city, on the United Nations International Youth day.

The goal is to collect as many signatures and commitments as possible before the proclamation on August 12th. The campaign "Because it can't wait - Now I sign!" mainly goes on through the web www.nowisign.org .

The Great Declaration is a rallying text which invites those who sign to commit to a concrete action towards a more fair, open-minded and united World. The project, initiated by “Institut du Nouveau Monde” in partnership with Oxfam-Québec, the “Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec” (The international youth office of Québec, LOJIQ) and Regeneration 2008 - the 4th World Youth Congress is of global wingspan and states the principles and values that young people from around the globe want to promote. To this day the Great Declaration, originally written in French, has been translated to English, Spanish, Russian, German, Inuktitut and Romanian.

The great Declarations's new website is interactive and bilingual and has all the potential to become the new platform and citizenship activism. The web site includes animations, pictures and videos and allows you to see the different commitments taken by signatories worldwide!

Although the Great Declaration first started with youth it is a project now reaching everybody, so everyone, of any age or nationality, is invited to sign the Great Declaration and give it strength by committing to an world changing action. Come on... sign it! And spread the word around you!

Institut du Nouveau Monde is a independent, non-partisan and non-profit organization dedicated to renewing ideas and animating public debate. Each year since 2004, Institut du Nouveau Monde organizes a Summer School that has the appearances of a festival for young people from age 15 to 35.
