RCMP's deal.org program is recruiting for a national Youth Advisory Committee

The RCMP's deal.org program is a by-youth for-youth initiative that encourages youth to get involved in their schools and communities. We are currently looking for Canadian youth between the ages of 14-18 to get involved in our newest project, a national Youth Advisory Committee.

The Committee will be comprised of youth from all provinces and territories who will discuss issues of importance to them. Topics will include issues such as drugs, bullying, sexuality, discrimination and violence. The Youth Advisory Committee requires only a few hours of involvement per month, and participants interact through our fully moderated online forum. The feedback we receive from this Committee will be used by RCMP officers and policy-makers in shaping their policies related to youth.

Our Youth Advisory Committee presents a valuable opportunity for your students. Not only will they have the chance to play a pivotal role in the RCMP’s policy development on youth issues, they will also be able to interact with like-minded youth from across the country. Upon completion of their one-year commitment to the Committee, we will be able to offer the students reference letters for jobs and university applications.
