Dani’s first love in life is cats, followed closely by philosophy, tea, travelling, and books. She spent her post-undergrad years living and working in Japan while trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. She finally returned home to Canada three years later and completed a Master’s of Social Work degree at Wilfrid Laurier University with a focus on program development and policy. She is passionate about working with youth and creating opportunities where they can develop skills, knowledge, and experience. A focus on learning and growing together is a key feature of her facilitation style.
“I love that AisB defies the stereotype of disengaged, detached youth. We’re not only out to make change, we’re out to get more youth interested in making change with us. We don’t accept the common labels placed upon us by those with age and “experience”, and we actively work to show that they’re not true.”
