Make an impact on your community.
What does a RISE ambassador do?
Ambassadors are the lead creatives behind the community project taking place in each city. You will research topics to develop ideas for a community project and work in a group to decide on one project to execute and evaluate. This group is led by the local program coordinator. The goal of the RISE program is to mobilize our less engaged peers in democracy by getting them involved in a community project.
About the Theme:
From arts to accessibility, infrastructure and green spaces to civic engagement, resilient cities are about developing spaces, activities, and initiatives that can lead local communities to thrive.
By 2050, 70% of the world’s population will live in urban spaces, making cities critical in achieving a just, sustainable future for the world. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to highlight deeper societal issues and how much we need to build something better, this theme is an opportunity for ambassadors to reimagine how we engage in community and cultivate care at a local level.
