What does a RISE ambassador do?
The goal of the RISE program is to build a community project that bridges the gaps in civic participation for our less engaged peers. Ambassadors are the creatives, researchers, designers & do-ers behind the projects taking place in each city. With support from the local program coordinator, you will collaborate with the other youth in your hub and various local leaders to develop and execute a project that serves your community.
About the Theme:
Resilient Communities
From arts to accessibility, infrastructure and green spaces to civic engagement, resilient communities are about developing spaces, activities, and initiatives that can lead local communities to thrive.
By 2050, 70% of the world’s population will live in urban spaces, making cities critical in achieving a just, sustainable future for the world. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to highlight deeper
societal issues and how much we need to build something better, this theme is an opportunity for ambassadors to reimagine how we engage in community and cultivate care at a local level.
