WHY RISE?

I joined the program to gain skills and connections to help me learn how to organise locally in a meaningful way, and hopefully learn something new about myself.

I joined RISE with a vision to cultivate a community and create a project that leaves a lasting impact. My goal is to create a supportive environment where individuals can thrive collectively. Through meaningful projects, I aim to address the unique needs of our community, making a positive and lasting contribution. Together, we can bring about transformative change and enhance the well-being of those we serve.

I joined RISE because I wanted to feel more connected to the land and area in which I reside and work. Meeting like-minded people who also want to make a difference is incredibly important to me and having the tools to make change is so amazing.

I was truly driven to highlight the powerful impact we, as young individuals, can have on shaping a better world today. Joining RISE was all about forming bonds with other young leaders and finding that spark of inspiration. I'm eager to discover ways to develop projects that focus on empowering immigrants, promoting diversity, and fostering an inclusive environment, ensuring that everyone has a voice and a chance to thrive.

I joined RISE because I saw it as a way to connect with others so that I can learn and work with them towards a greater good. I wanted a way to become more present in my community so that I can understand what’s happening in my city and contribute to positive changes. Being able to meet new people and take part in a community project has been a great experience!

I decided to join RISE because it's a fantastic opportunity to be a part of youth-driven projects, connect with incredible people, and create positive change. Engaging meaningfully with the larger community alongside my fellow peers is a dream come true. It's a chance to grow, learn, and have a great time while making an impact. I'm truly grateful to be part of this vibrant team!
