RISE Program Coordinator - Toronto
Sajanika holds Bachelor's degrees in International Development Studies and Public Administration from York University, where she specialized in migration and environment. After completing her degree, she worked for a variety of organizations focused on analyzing and designing community benefit agreements for large infrastructure projects in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Northern Quebec. Soon after, she shifted her focus to women and youth empowerment which took her across the world and now, back to Toronto. Sajanika believes in the need for enhancing community engagement and partnerships to create inclusive spaces for all.
“It’s not often that you find organizations for youth run by youth! I think Apathy is Boring does an amazing job of listening to the youth they serve and incorporating their voices into policies and practices of the organization.”
