A Microbiology and Infectiology graduate from Sherbrooke University, Taharima had always wanted to pursue a career in Science education at the CEGEP level. Following a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Sciences, Taharima found a new passion in community work through her volunteer experience as the former President and Outreach Director of Rock Camp for Girls and Gender Nonconforming Youth of Montreal and through her involvement with the #Jeunesse375 project, powered by the Forum Jeunesse de l’Île de Montréal, as a youth ambassador in 2016-2017.
Driven by the need to give back to her community while representing its youth, Taharima joins the Apathy is Boring team, as the communications coordinator, to reach as many youth as possible during program campaigns and to highlight their efforts continuously.
“I think one of the most important things about working in the community is the team with which we work. The support and help found in this organization, as well as their mandate concerning Canadian youth, really made me gravitate towards AisB and I am so proud and happy to be a part of all of it!”
