Training Session 1 (in English): TABLE TOPICS IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD 2026-27
Thursday, July 23 3 PM EST (time subject to change)
What do you want to see when you think of Canada’s future?
Want to connect more with your community on issues impacting you and the people around you? Do you care about specific topics like the state of democracy, climate change, access to healthcare, cost of living, and workers' rights? Want to learn about how to have these conversations with other people?
This is a two-hour training that will prepare you to create intentional spaces for discussing topics like these and listen to each other better.
You can also expect:
— Nationwide connections and networking opportunities
— Access to our Table Topics Toolkit and other resources
— Use of the Democracy Deck to keep your convos flowing
— To contribute to the interactive Democracy Conversations map
— A $150 food budget for your event
You can host your Table Topics event within 30 days of this training session: your event must take place by Saturday, August 22.
Following your event, this training's wrap-up session will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, September 23. You can pop in for a quick hello or the entire session (exact time TBD).
