Volunteer with us!
We’re looking for volunteers to work with throughout the year. Submit your information with us and we’ll be in touch!
1. Street Teams - Street Teams* are a huge part of how we engage young people in upcoming elections. Street Teams campaigns often involve setup and take down, chatting with passing youth about a specific election (when to vote, how, where, etc.), and providing assistance with submitting a voting pledge form with us.
*Street Teams are an extension of our VOTE Program - they are specific tablings aiming to reach less engaged youth and encourage them to vote in municipal, provincial, territorial, and federal elections.
2. Events - We host a variety of events as an organization and also partner with other organizations to host events collaboratively. General event support is often required for these, which typically involves assistance with attendee registration, navigating venues/providing directions, answering general questions, and sometimes capturing content our Social Team can use on our different platforms.
3. Tabling - Throughout the year, we aim to engage youth at events and activities we aren’t personally hosting or organizing. We’ll plan to table at different markets, fairs, festivals, etc. to build awareness of Apathy is Boring, our programs (RISE, BUILD, VOTE), our projects (Table Topics), and our resources (The FEED). Tablings will typically involve chatting with passersby, handing out merch, encouraging folks to follow us on social platforms and subscribe to our newsletters!
4. Creative - Our Social Team works hard to collaborate on and develop content across our social platforms! Creative volunteers will contribute to brainstorming content, including providing feedback on trending, relatable, and funny themes, images, and sound bites. You may also attend events in your area, like our cross-country Travelling Table Topics, to capture candid photo and video content.
