WHY RISE?
I wanted to do something meaningful for my community and I wanted to see how project management works. I wanted to have hands-on experience with project management phases such as budgeting, teamwork, and facilitation.

Between graduating from university and working, I was looking for a way to give back to the community and meet new people. I have worked with other organizations before, but never any with a youth-centric focus. As a result, when a friend of mine told me about the RISE and said that I should try it out, I decided to take their advice. Now, I am 100% sure I made the right decision.
