Mental Health and Politics

Apathy is Boring is teaming up with Nominee, The Canadian Mental Health Association, and the Democratic Engagement Exchange to bring you Mental Health and Politics, a half-day event all about prioritizing mental health while navigating our political landscape.

Whether you’re a politician, campaign staffer, community organizer, advocate, or just a person living in 2023, interacting with politics can take a toll on your wellbeing. Join us for a conversation about the specific mental health challenges associated with political engagement and leave with practical tools for coping with such challenges.

Here's what you can expect

Panel discussion: Our incredible speakers will talk about what participating in the political arena has meant for them and their mental health.

Workshop: The Canadian Mental Health Association will give us the tools and resources we need to better prioritize our mental health while staying politically engaged.

Networking: Build lasting connections with political leaders, community activators, and mental health advocates.

Food: You know we'd never throw you an event without some snackies!
