I joined RISE to work on a project that will have a sustainable and positive impact on my community. I am looking forward to learning from the perspectives that the other ambassadors bring to the group and feel like this program is the perfect opportunity to learn skills in order to become more civically engaged.
I joined RISE because I am driven by social justice issues and getting involved in my community. I am interested in being a part of teams that engage, improve and enrich the lives of people in my city.
In my professional life, I have worked as a volunteer coordinator, event planner, community connector and social service worker.
In my personal life, I am an art enthusiast and I enjoy being outdoors doing camping, canoeing, biking and swimming.
I am thrilled to be a part of RISE, meet young change-makers, co-create with other youth and develop a meaningful project that will positively influence my city.
I joined to learn more about Civic engagement in Ottawa and also to make friends , because its so hard to meet other youth doing community Development work.

I joined RISE to collaborate with peers who are just as passionate about making a meaningful impact. With my background in law, policy, and research, I’m eager to apply my skills in a hands-on way while learning new ones that will help me grow personally and professionally. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with my community, understand the steps involved in creating change, and build something from the ground up with my cohort. I’m looking forward to the journey ahead!
